Our selection of Bonsais include deciduous and evergreen species, as well as ones with decorative flowers or leaves. Most of our trees are original japanese bonsais.

What are bonsai trees?

Bonsai is not a species but an artful form of tree nursing that can be practiced on a number of different species. Bonsais are artificially shortened and bent trees, artistically crafted into a particular shape. Its appearance mimics older specimens in natural environments, so it can be understood as an ever-changing work of art inspired by nature.

Not all small plants in bowls are bonsais. They must also have a number of traditional attributes in relation to how they are cut, tied, twisted and so on.

Bonsai trees require attention. The owners of these trees must take extra care to ensure optimal living conditions:

  • The ground must be humid at all times
  • Soil nutrition must be kept at optimal levels
  • The tree needs occasional cutting and reshaping
